Puppy Programs

Puppies can be so much fun... And so much WORK! Things can feel like they are going great the first few days or weeks.

Then all of a sudden BAM it's puppy chaos!

Don't worry! This is totally normal and we are here to help. One of the best things you can do for your puppy is to proactively set up training BEFORE problems start to show up. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

If you're already struggling with the puppy blues, never fear! It's never too late to start training, especially with a puppy!

Puppies are super smart and they are like little information sponges soaking up everything you teach them with ease.

But this also means they are constantly learning what does and does not work for them.

If they can do it, then it works! And they'll do it again... and again... and again

The best way to ensure your puppy grows up to be a well behaved member of the family is to not let them learn bad habits to begin with!

Yes, this can be easier said that done...

But a little inconvenience now can save you a lifetime of behavior problmes!

I bet you've heard "you need to socialize your puppy" a million times since you brought your puppy home!

But what does that even mean?

Many people know socialization includes introducing their puppy to new people and dogs

What most people don't know is that's only a fraction of what proper socialization is!

Proper socialization can mean the difference between your puppy growing up to be well behaved adult dog or growing up to have behavior problems like fear or aggression

Puppies prime socialization period is between 3-12weeks old!

Don't worry, all our programs include proper socialization to set you and your puppy up for success

Puppies go through different developmental stages just like human children!

Knowing what to expect each step of the way is super important

0-4 Months

Baby Duck Stage

-Your puppy wants to follow you everywhere and tends to stay close by your side and do what you ask

4-6 Months

Explorer Stage

-Your puppy is getting into EVERYTHING and is much less interested in doing aything you ask them to do. You may as well not exist to them anymore!

6-12 Months

Teenage Stage

-"You can't tell me what to do!"

Just like human teens, adolecent puppies are going to start testing boundaries to see if you really meant it when you said they could do something

12-18 Months

Final Maturation Stage

-This is roughly equivelant to adult humans between 18 and 25 years old. Where yes, they are *technically* full grown adults... But definitely still have some maturing and neurological development left to do
